Many NBA players now want to leave their teams or see what other choices they have as free agents. However, in the past, some players were unique. They believed in loyalty and spent their entire careers with the same team.

Some of the best NBA players ever, like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant, switched teams at least once during their careers.

Here are five NBA players who played for only one franchise –

Tim Duncan played an incredible 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, covering three decades. He won multiple awards, including Rookie of the Year, two MVPs, and three Finals MVPs. Duncan made the All-NBA team 15 times and holds the record for 15 All-Defensive honors. He won five NBA titles and made the playoffs every year.

3. Bill Russell

Bill Russell is closely linked to the Boston Celtics. He made the Celtics famous by winning 11 championships in 13 years, a record unmatched in basketball history. Some argue he should be considered the greatest player ever. However, the league was smaller during his time, making the competition less challenging compared to today’s NBA.

4. Magic Johnson

Magic Johnson is the best point guard ever. He went to nine NBA Finals, winning five and being Finals MVP three times. Magic won regular season MVP three times in 13 seasons with the LA Lakers. He was an All-Star 12 times. His greatest skill was his court vision, getting 11.2 assists per career, and he was versatile on defense too.

5. Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant was a very competitive basketball player. He was an All-Star in 18 of his 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant scored 81 points in a single game and helped the Lakers win five titles, including two Finals MVPs. He also had many additional honors, including as scoring titles, MVP, and All-NBA choices. Along with LeBron James and Michael Jordan, Kobe is regarded as one of the best players of all time.
