“Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante aka the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy! And I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer,” Johnson tweeted.

Besides them, the famous Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson was also in Italy. Magic also shared a video on Twitter of their dinner together. It’s wonderful to see that NBA legends still spend time together, even years after they stopped playing against each other.

Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers were really successful in the 1980s and won five NBA Championships. But in the 1991 NBA Finals, the Chicago Bulls defeated them and became the new top team in the league.

Jordan loved playing against Johnson’s Lakers because he wanted to show his skills against the team that was considered the best in the NBA at that time.

“This is all I have been working up for, it’s an opportunity to play against what everybody considers to be the best, it was Magic Johnson. The mighty, mighty Lakers at the time were one of the powerhouses in the 80s, and now we’re starting the 90s, so if you are gonna make a statement, you have to make a statement against the best,” Jordan said.
