The Los Angeles Lakers made superb decisions in free agency this year. The signing of point guard Gabe Vincent was one of the best trades.
As per Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Times, a league executive claimed that Gabe Vincent is the perfect point guard for the Lakers even though they already have LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
NBA executive on Gabe Vincent

“One league executive raved about the Lakers signing Gabe Vincent, saying the guard is ‘the perfect point guard to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis,’” Woike said.
“The executive cited Mario Chalmers as a player who reminds him of Vincent. ‘[Vincent] doesn’t need the ball, can shoot it, and makes the right decisions. And, he can really defend,’” he added.
The ability to make the appropriate moves and play without the ball is very important. This is because he will be playing with a star like King James. Vincent clearly has both of these abilities, and he should do well with the Los Angeles Lakers. Gabe Vincent had a superb playoff performance with the Miami Heat and received praise.
Vincent is sure he will fit in at the Lakers
Gabe Vincent is confident that he will fit in with the Los Angeles Lakers.
“[Lakers] have a little bit of everything. They have size. They have athleticism. They have leadership. They got stars. I bring a little bit of toughness on defense, I bring some playmaking, I can make open shots. I think I showed in Miami that my game is pretty versatile… I could come in and just try to impact winning in a number of ways and every night it might be different,” he said.
Vincent is a great talent who can contribute to a successful team, and he might have a great season playing alongside LeBron James.
