Reports Suggets Golden State Warriors Getting Trade Offers for Jordan Poole After Disappointing Playoffs
The Golden State Warriors were filled with hope for the future after winning the championship in 2022. With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and the emergence of superb shooter Jordan Poole, the team had plenty of reasons to assume it would dominate the Western Conference for a lengthy period of time.
The recent season unfolded differently than expected for the Warriors, and Jordan Poole’s performance suffered a significant decline on both offense and defense.
Warriors receiving trade calls for Jordan Poole

Following a disappointing postseason, numerous teams in the league are reaching out to the Warriors inquiring about the availability of Poole, hoping to acquire him for their own rosters.
“Golden State is also getting calls on Kuminga, they’re getting calls on Jordan Poole. They have the 19th pick in next week’s draft. So Mike Dunleavy Jr. isn’t getting no training wheels going into this job,” Marc J. Spears said on NBA Today.

Jordan’s form for the Warriors deteriorated to the point where he was no longer regarded playable, yet he remains a talent with significant unrealized potential. Poole, while being only 23 years old, demonstrated his potential by scoring a career-high 20.4 points per game on 43% shooting, revealing glimpses of his playmaking and ball-handling prowess.
However, Jordan’s biggest concern now is around his behaviour in the team’s locker room. His confrontation with Draymond Green the previous summer caused a big schism, and he appeared to undergo a marked transformation as a result.
Will Poole leave next season?
Knowing Jordan Poole’s previous encounters with the franchise, it stands to reason that the Warriors would evaluate him as a possible trade possibility. Trading Poole would not only net a good return, but it would also help to reduce emotions in the locker room after a turbulent season.
“I think some of that was lost this year, for sure. There’s no hiding from it, the incident with Draymond and Jordan at the beginning of the year played a role in that. It’s hard for that not to impact a team,” Kerr said.
Jordan Poole’s time with the Golden State Warriors may have come to an end, but his skill set would surely be helpful to many NBA clubs. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Poole’s name mentioned in serious trade negotiations as the offseason progresses.
