With the 2023 NBA Draft just days away, Victor Wembanyama is expected to be selected as the top pick by the San Antonio Spurs.

It has long been anticipated that Wembanyama would be the top pick, but there were uncertainties about his participation in the Summer League afterward. Fortunately, we now have confirmation from Wembanyama regarding his plans.

The San Antonio Spurs are slated to participate in the California Classic in Sacramento, with games scheduled for July 3rd and 5th. As Victor Wembanyama intends to participate in the Summer League, he could potentially make his debut in a Spurs uniform against the Charlotte Hornets on the 3rd or the Los Angeles Lakers on the 5th.

While Wembanyama doesn’t necessarily need to prove himself in the Summer League, getting some playing time would certainly be beneficial. Given the Spurs’ approach, they likely desire him to take part in the games.
