”Y’alls last time disrespecting” – LeBron James once slammed Memphis Grizzlies players for getting on his skin

NBA

When it comes to his rivals, LeBron James is a very friendly athlete who rarely picks fights. James, who has been among the league’s best since nearly the moment he turned professional, is accustomed to being provoked and has infrequently felt the need to react. He is human, too, and there have been occasions when he has been irritated by other players as well.

Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Memphis Grizzlies in a game that was noteworthy for factors other than basketball. While watching the game from the stands, Shannon Sharpe got into a fight with a number of Grizzlies players, including Ja Morant, before Tee Morant also got involved.

LeBron James calls out Memphis Grizzlies

Even though LeBron wasn’t involved in the actual altercation, he made sure to let everyone know that he was supporting Sharpe.

“I ride with Shannon 365 days — 366 on a leap year — 24/7. So that’s my guy. I always got his back. And he’s got mine. He can talk with the best of them, for sure,” James said.

And while this relates to his friendship with Sharpe, it also probably has something to do with what transpired the previous season. Last season, LeBron James got into a fight with some Grizzlies players, and it appears that the King has not forgotten.

James gave it off to the Grizzlies last year

The Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies squared up in January 2022. Additionally, they trash-talked LeBron James so much during the game that he had to let them know he wasn’t having it. King James even went on to dunk viciously to finish off his rant.

“This y’alls last time dawg, this y’alls last f***ing time, this y’alls last time disrespecting. I’m not chillin’. You ain’t hooping, you’re talking s**t. This the last motherf***ing time imma say it. You start making a couple shots, then you start talking s**t. F*** that, I don’t play that shit,” he said.

James seldom gets this angry, but the Grizzlies have a knack of getting on the nerves of other stars. Klay Thompson is infamous for having issues with this young team’s behavior. The Grizzlies absolutely need to back it up in the playoffs this season if they don’t want to face unrelenting jeers given how much of this they’ve gotten up to.
