WWE fans think The Rock will appear at SummerSlam this year. Chances are high due of recent happenings in WWE and elsewhere.
The Rock hasn’t been on WWE TV since October 2019. The last time he was seen was on SmackDown’s 20th-anniversary show, where he helped then-Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeat King Corbin.
Here are three reasons The Rock will return at WWE SummerSlam –

1. SAG-AFTRA strike
The Screen Actors Guild went on strike due to a disagreement with AMPTP. Since July 14, 2023, writers and Hollywood actors have been affected. The writer’s strike might have paused The Rock’s movie projects. Now, with free time, he could visit the Stamford-based promotion for SummerSlam.
2. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso feud
The Bloodline storyline in WWE is highly popular, and fans are excited for the next chapter as Roman Reigns feuds with The Usos. Cracks in the faction appeared at the Royal Rumble and worsened when The Usos lost their tag team championship at WrestleMania 39. Now, The Bloodline is in a civil war, and Reigns will face Main Event Jey at SummerSlam for the WWE Universal Championship and the title of The Tribal Chief. People wonder if The Great One will get involved in the match. If he does, it will be a huge moment for fans in Detroit. He might help Jey against Solo Sikoa and acknowledge the winner after the match.
3. Banter with Grayson Waller
Grayson Waller is a rising WWE Superstar known for his mic skills and character work. He’s been calling out The Rock on social media and on The MMA Hour, even using The Rock’s finishing move in a match. Fans are speculating about The Rock confronting Waller at SummerSlam. Although there’s no official confirmation, there’s a possibility of The Rock returning for the event, as noted by Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
