5 Outcomes for Roman Reigns vs John Cena at WWE SummerSlam

There us no better way to start an episode of WWE Smackdown with John Cena & Roman Reigns in the same ring. It was a brilliant way to hype up their match which is scheduled to take place in WWE SummerSlam on August 21.

Once again John Cena proved that he is the best WWE Superstar when it comes to promos. He is the master of throwing one fiery line after another. He has done this previously & he did it again being in the ring with Roman Reigns.

It is always interesting to see these two WWE superstars in the ring at the same time either cutting some brilliant promos or performing in the ring. The upcoming match between the two is one of the most anticipated matches since the beginning of the year. Roman Reigns is having a brilliant run a as a WWE Universal Champion & he has dominated the main roaster completely. John Cena, on the other hand, was busy with his Hollywood projects & there were rumors of his comeback.

Let’s look at 5 outcomes of this match between the two top wrestlers.

5) John Cena wins the match

It would be unlike John Cena to return to the company, defeat Roman Reigns clean and leave with the Universal Championship. This would be a very unpopular decision, but it could also ensure that the title is held by a mainstream Hollywood star. Would it diminish all the hard work that’s been put into Roman Reigns over the last few months? The answer is yes, but it would also be a loss to John Cena, who is arguably the greatest of all time.

4) BIG E crashes the party

Let’s just say that John Cena wins the match. He also beats Ric Flair’s record, which may certainly be the case since the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer is no longer with the company at this point. Considering the busy schedule he will have to follow for his upcoming Hollywood projects, there is a high probability that BIG E will be crashing the party by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. Roman Reigns could step out of the title picture for a bit while Big E picks up a few wins, to battle Finn Balor.

3) Baron Corbin cashes in his contract on Roman Reigns

Could Roman Reigns be on the verge of picking up a win, when Baron Corbin cashes in his stolen contract? We could have a false finish, where Baron Corbin celebrates in the middle of the ring; only to eat finishers from both Roman Reigns and John Cena. Imagine the disappointment of the crowd if they think that Corbin has actually swerved us all. And then being told by Adam Cole or Sonya Deville that the decision has been reversed.

2) Big E cashes in on Roman Reigns

Let’s assume Roman Reigns defeats John Cena. As he celebrates in the middle of the ring, Big E’s music hits as he cashes in on The Tribal Chief. It could start a feud that lasts all the way until Survivor Series 2021, as Reigns plots and ploys to get his Championship back. It makes more sense for Big E to cash in on Roman Reigns once he’s exhausted after the match of his life, because it just makes things more personal, going forward.

1) Roman Reigns dominates again

John Cena has come back to WWE to give the active roster the rub. This is why the Roman Reigns vs. John Cena match could conclude with the latter putting the WWE Universal Champion over by suffering a loss in the middle of the ring. It would give Roman Reigns bragging rights for many months.
