Backstage Reports on Charlotte Flair Losing an Upcoming Movie Role Because of WWE

Charlotte Flair is a popular wrestler in WWE. A new report says WWE might have prevented her from being in a movie called ‘Queen of The Ring.’

At the beginning of the year, they said Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan would take a break from WWE to be in the ‘Queen of The Ring’ movie by Ash Avildsen. But now, it looks like they might not be in the movie anymore.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says Kamille Brickhouse will take Charlotte Flair’s role in the movie. Also, Toni Storm will replace Liv Morgan, according to the report.

“Kamille Brickhouse noted that she spent the summer filming the Mildred Burke movie “Queen of the Ring.” She will be playing June Byers, who had a shoot match for the women’s world title in Atlanta with Burke in 1954 and then after winning became the dominant women’s star for the next decade. At one point Charlotte Flair was pegged for that role and had agreed to it but WWE got involved and it fell through,” the report said.

The report says that Charlotte Flair had agreed to be in the movie, but because WWE is involved, she might not be in it anymore.

Flair to compete at WWE SummerSlam 2023

At the start of the year, Charlotte Flair took a break from wrestling after losing her title to Rhea Ripley. When she came back to WWE SmackDown, she went straight for the new Women’s Champion, Asuka.

At the same time, Bianca Belair wanted a chance to win back her title after Asuka became the longest-reigning Women’s Champion in WWE history by defeating her. Charlotte Flair was given a title match against Asuka on SmackDown before Money in the Bank 2023.

But the match didn’t happen as expected because Bianca Belair got involved and stopped it. Later, Bianca got her chance for a title rematch, but it also ended in disqualification because Charlotte Flair interfered, and Iyo Sky from Damage CTRL tried to cash in her opportunity, but it didn’t work out.

Following that, the organisers set a match between three wrestlers for the Women’s Championship at SummerSlam in Detroit.
