Backstage Reports on WWE Champion Planning a Tribute to Bray Wyatt on SmackDown Next Week
The most recent SmackDown episode was a very sad and emotional tribute to Bray Wyatt. Despite receiving the tragic news just a few hours before the event, the business worked hard to create a particular tribute to Wyatt that people would remember. They accomplished this by including several specific items that were essential to Wyatt, such as his special rocking chair and lamp.
This special way of remembering Bray Wyatt might keep going because John Cena is coming back to the Blue Brand next week. The company had said a few days ago that The Cenation Leader would come back on the September 1 episode of SmackDown.
Also, they made sure that Cena will be there in India for the event called Superstar Spectacle on September 8, 2023.
John Cena to pay tribute to Bray Wyatt?
This situation happens again on the next SmackDown show. Cena recently wrote a very sad message about how he felt when he heard the bad news. He and Wyatt had fought against each other many times in the past.
One important time they faced was during a special match at WrestleMania 36, called the Firefly Fun House match, and Wyatt won. But it’s probably not going to change Cena’s plans a lot. Even LA Knight kept fighting with The Miz while also honoring Bray Wyatt on a recent SmackDown show.
Since Cena is showing up, it makes sense to think that someone might challenge him. This could lead to a match for John Cena at Superstar Spectacle 2023.
Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman paid tribute to Wyatt
Another really touching part of the show was when Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan appeared. They used to be part of the Wyatt Family together. This is important because Rowan has been with Wyatt from the very beginning of the group, and Strowman joined the Wyatt Family when he first appeared on RAW.
Also, three years ago, the Wyatt Family lost Brodie Lee, who was also known as Luke Harper. To remember him, AEW put together a special event, and Erick Rowan showed up there too to show respect.

Also, Alexa Bliss wanted to be part of the tribute on SmackDown and she said so in a video. But, sadly, she couldn’t come because there were problems with her flight. The special show honoring Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk was incredible, and it will be remembered. To make it unique, they introduced other elements such as fights, show segments, and videos.
