Summer Rae, an ex-WWE star, recently stated that she misses wrestling and wishes to return to it. She intends to return to the wrestling scene, but in a new capacity.
In 2017, the company let her go, but she came back on TV on January 21, 2022, as a guest on SmackDown. That year, she was one of 30 women who took part in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She entered the match as the 23rd participant and was taken out by her rival Natalya, whom she knew from Total Divas show. The winner of the match was Ronda Rousey.
Summer Rae wants to return to WWE

In a recent talk on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Summer Rae mentioned that she really likes wrestling and telling stories. However, she’s going through a time where she’s hurt and can’t take part in matches right now.
“So, I miss wrestling. I personally wouldn’t, I have a bone spur on a vertebra in my neck and I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. So, I’m doing good, but at the end of my injury, I kind of have the tingling in my hands where I couldn’t really open doors and that was a little scary to me. So for me, I miss storytelling. I constantly write ideas and pitches down and like, submit them to certain promotions,” Rae said.
Rae did many jobs in WWE apart from fighting. She introduced wrestlers in the ring for NXT in 2012, was in charge of a place called FCW which helped new wrestlers grow, and also danced with Fandango. In the talk, Summer Rae said that she doesn’t want to wrestle every day, but she wants to show other things she can do.
“I don’t think I could wrestle every week and be in that role. And I don’t think that’s my purpose either. I think, you know, being able to highlight talents, and pull the best out of them and being able to make them the main thing and being able to showcase new younger talent and bring them up with what I know from the business. I would love to do something like that,” she added.
It will be exciting to see Summer Rae as a manager in WWE, AEW, or another wrestling organization.
