The Rock still has a strong connection to professional wrestling even if he is no longer a full-time performer. In a recent video, Dwayne Johnson responded hilariously to the question of how he came up with his WWE ring name.

The Rock progressively made the switch from being a full-time entertainer to a Hollywood movie star in 2002. He successfully changed his direction to acting in the ensuing years and intermittently appeared for the business. Years later, when he came back to fight John Cena, he had his next significant run.

Kevin Hart jokes about why Dwayne Johnson’s ring name

In the acting industry, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are close friends both on and off-screen. The two have frequently made jokes about one another on various occasions and have appeared as leads in a number of big-budget films.

The two provided their voices for DC’s Super Pets earlier this year, where Johnson provided several character voices and Hart provided the voice of Ace. Kevin Hart made fun of the real reason Johnson was given the WWE ring name The Rock in the same Instagram video.

“Cause he’s stupid… Dumb as a Rock… That Dwayne is dumb as a rock,” he said.

When the People’s Champion provided another humorous explanation for how he got his name, the two celebrities continued to disparage one another during the interview. Although the two have been engaged in a number of endeavors, Johnson is expected to make a comeback to WWE around WrestleMania.
