Potential Update On Dwayne Johnson’s Return To WWE And Face His Cousin Roman Reigns

Update on Dwayne Johnson's return to WWE

For some time now, it has been believed that he will compete against Roman Reigns in WWE’s biggest event of the year. WrestleMania is scheduled to be at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles the following year. Since leaving professional wrestling, The Great One has taken over Hollywood, and many fans think that Los Angeles would be the ideal place for The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) to make his comeback.

The Rock won’t be present at Royal Rumble

The Rock won’t be attending the Royal Rumble on January 28 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, according to Ringside News. He has assured them he won’t be there in January, according to a “tenured member of the creative team,” according to RSN, who spoke to him.

The Great One is still a “virtual lock” for WrestleMania, according to Ringside News, but he most likely won’t be competing in the Royal Rumble.

Dwayne Johnson opens up on a dream match

On social media, The Rock recently acknowledged the late wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage. Macho Man excelled as a wrestler in both the WWE and the WCW. He has won the King of the Ring competition in 1987 and is a two-time WWF World Heavyweight Champion as well as a former Intercontinental Champion. Additionally, Randy four times held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. In 2015, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Wearing sunglasses like the legendary wrestler, The Rock wrote on Instagram that it would have been an honor to share the ring with Macho Man.

“That’s a Saturday wrap. Another ones bites the dust in the #ironparadise. Feelin’ Macho in my “Ohhhh Yeah” shades. Savage was always my dream match as it would’ve been an honor to share the squared circle with him,” he said.

Many fans are eager to see The Rock, Cody Rhodes, or any other famous person return to the Royal Rumble event the following year. Time will tell whether The Great One shows up despite reports to the contrary.
