Vince Russo Compares Roman Reigns to Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan

Roman Reigns was compared to “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan by former WWE writer Vince Russo.

The biggest WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns, has dominated the past few years. Roman Reigns united the two global championships five months ago to become the undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Although Brock Lesnar is also very significant, The Tribal Chief has received more media attention than anyone else.

Vince Russo on Roman Reigns

In the most recent episode of Writing with Russo, Vince Russo discussed how it felt to witness the first confrontation between the two megastars Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage in late 1985.

He discussed how Roman Reigns is the only person now who can get crowds to react in the same way as the two megastars did when they had them in the palm of their hands.

“I was in Madison Square Garden the first time [Hulk] Hogan faced Randy Savage. The rafters shook. The building was shaking. They had them in the palm of their hands. Who has them [fans] like that now apart from [Roman] Reigns? Who’s got them right here today? LaRoo [Candice LaRae]?” – Russo said.

Reigns is set to defend his title against Logan Paul

Reigns’ interview with IMPAULSIVE would prepare him for his upcoming Universal title defense. The Tribal Chief and Logan Paul participated in a news conference with Triple H, which officially announced their contest for the Undisputed Universal Championship at the Crown Jewel on November 5.

While many people are unsure of Logan Paul’s inclusion in the event, he is undoubtedly one of the WWE roster’s most widely marketable performers.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the YouTube star and recent WWE signee was selected as Reigns’ next opponent considering that WWE typically sends its top talents to compete in Saudi Arabia.
