Reports on Ronda Rousey Leaving WWE to Join Another Organization

Ronda Rousey appears to want to retire from WWE and return to MMA.

Rousey came back to WWE last year for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Recently, she had a fight like in MMA against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023, but she didn’t win. That’s likely her final match with the company because, after the event, news came out that she’s finished with WWE.

Someone who knows Ronda Rousey well talked to Daily Mail and said that she wants to leave WWE and go back to MMA for just one more fight at UFC 300.

“She [Ronda] just had a match at SummerSlam and is looking to wind down her time and commitments with the WWE and she is now focusing on potentially making a run to have one last fight in the UFC and compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year,” the source close to Rousey said.

The source also said that Rousey is not sure what to do next in her life and career. She’s thinking about doing things on TV too.

Dana White on Rousey

Before she joined WWE, Rousey was winning a lot in UFC. She won 12 fights in a row before losing her Championship in 2015. In a talk with Sports Illustrated, Dana White was asked if Ronda Rousey might come back to UFC.

“There’s no shot. She’s accomplished everything she set out to do. Her dream was to win a UFC Championship, then win a WWE Championship, and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships,” he said.

Because the WWE and UFC are merging, Rousey may return to the top MMA organization for another match.
