Roman Reigns vs Former Champion at WWE SummerSlam After Nearly 1000 Days is All Set To Take Place

Roman Reigns was defeated and pinned for the first time in more than three and a half years at the WWE Money in the Bank 2023 event. According to a recent source, this result might lead to a one-on-one fight between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.

After Roman Reigns won and defended his WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39 on TV, things have changed. He defeated Cody Rhodes with some help from Solo Sikoa and The Usos. However, since then, a lot has happened. The Bloodline, which included Jey and Jimmy, is no longer together as they have left the group.

Reigns has been in some tag matches since beating The American Nightmare. He recently fought against his cousins, Jimmy and Jey Uso. At Money in the Bank, Jey pinned Reigns, which hadn’t happened in a long time. According to a report, this could lead to a title match between Reigns and Jey Uso at SummerSlam next month.

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso had their most recent one-on-one match in October 2020. They faced each other in an ‘I Quit’ match.

The Bloodline storyline started with Reigns vs Jey Uso

The Bloodline story has been very popular among fans. It began when Roman Reigns wanted Jey Uso to follow his lead, and they had many matches against each other as part of the storyline.

The Bloodline were in charge of WWE, but things went wrong when The Usos lost their tag team titles. This made Reigns unhappy. At Night of Champions 2023, Jimmy Uso got fed up with Reigns and kicked him many times. Jey Uso also left The Bloodline and joined his brother. At Money in the Bank, Jey pinned Reigns.

It appears like Roman Reigns and Jey Uso will face again. However, WWE has major plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, and he will not lose the title at SummerSlam this year.
