The High Chance of Damian Priest Losing His Money in the Bank Contract to a Top Star at SummerSlam 2023

Damian Priest won the contract in the Money in the Bank Men’s Ladder Match. Later that night, when Finn Balor faced Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, Priest accidentally cost Balor the opportunity to win the title.

Finn Balor was very close to winning the gold, but then Priest came and made Balor lose focus. Rollins saw the chance and won instead, making both Balor and Priest upset and angry.

Balor still wants to win the title. On the latest episode of RAW, fans saw Balor and Damian Priest get angrier at each other. Balor accidentally stopped Priest from getting a chance to win against Rollins.

It is not known whether Balor purposely stopped Priest from cashing in, or if he was just seeking revenge for his own loss against Rollins and accidentally ruined Priest’s chances.

Because Balor and Rollins don’t get along, it would be nice if Damian Priest used his MITB briefcase to beat Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. But now, Balor and Priest are having issues, so fans might see Balor trying to take Priest’s Money in the Bank contract at SummerSlam 2023. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

Priest claimed nothing is wrong

Even though people have been paying attention to Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley as a team, it’s not clear if WWE will separate The Judgment Day group. They all have valuable contributions when they work together.

Damian Priest talked about his relationship with Balor during a press conference after Money in the Bank. He said that things were good between them.

“Look, sometimes there are misunderstandings. To be fair, we had a few lately. But, as far as The Judgment Day is concerned, Finn Balor and I are concerned, we are brothers. Everything is good. I think he wasn’t sure if I was there to cash in on him, which wasn’t the goal. It wasn’t an idea of mine. I did not wanna do that. I wanted Seth to feel the pressure of me possibly cashing in, and I wanted Finn to win the title. Fortunately, didn’t happen that way. I cannot control that. Finn had the match won, just didn’t win. I mean there’s nothing I can do about it,” he said.

Damian Priest’s comments were intended to improve relations between him and Finn.
