WWE Latest News Roundup: Top Star Leaves, Roman Reigns Slams Champion and Others
This is another WWE News Roundup edition. There is news about Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso have a big match coming up.
In London last month, Reigns was defeated by Jey Uso’s side. It came as a surprise because Reigns had not previously lost much.

1. Roman Reigns calls Jey Uso selfish
Jey Uso will compete against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Champion title. This is a big deal because it also means becoming the important Tribal Chief. They will fight on August 5, 2023, at SummerSlam, and fans are very excited. Before the match, Reigns said on First Take that Jey Uso is only thinking about himself.
 ”Always. I mean, in a perfect world, he’s [Jey] by my side, making sure that nothing changes. We continue to rule this world. But he’s selfish like anybody. Any family member, any friend that you help out a little too much, it goes to their head a little bit,” Reigns said.
Reigns made it clear that he is still the leader. Jey Uso is feeling very confident because he was the first person to beat Reigns while he was acting as the Tribal Chief.
2. New photo of Bray Wyatt as The Fiend
Bray Wyatt has not been wrestling since before WrestleMania 39. He was going to fight Bobby Lashley, but he had health problems and hasn’t been on the shows. People think he might come back, and his friend Jason Baker showed a new picture of The Fiend’s mask.
Fightful Select said WWE wanted to make a group with Bray Wyatt, Uncle Howdy, Alexa Bliss, and Eric Young. But now it looks like they changed their minds and didn’t do it. We don’t know yet what will happen next for Bray Wyatt, who used to be a champion.

3. Aleah James announces she has left WWE
Aleah James said she’s not working for WWE anymore. She used to be on NXT UK, which is now joined with NXT. Some other NXT UK people were let go last year, but it wasn’t clear if she was staying. On Twitter, she said she’s not with them and can work for other groups now.
”So now we know I’m free as a bird.. who am I going to wrestle first?????” James tweeted.
It wasn’t a big surprise that James left WWE because she hadn’t been on TV for more than a year before she left. Her final match was against Stevie Turner on NXT UK in March 2022.
4. Mustafa Ali comments about Gunther
At Night of Champions 2023, Gunther kept his Intercontinental Championship by beating Mustafa Ali. Later, in an interview with WWE Die Woche, Ali said he should have won the match. He also said Gunther giving him the title wouldn’t have made Gunther seem less like a good wrestler.
“I’m very disappointed in the result. Obviously, I thought if there was ever a time to defeat Gunther, it would have been there. A guy with ‘home field advantage’ so to speak, and I think it’s been a long time since WWE’s done that ultimate underdog story,” Ali said.
Mustafa Ali is currently an important part of NXT despite his defeat. He recently battled for the North American Championship against Dominik Mysterio and Wes Lee. However, he did not win The Great American Bash 2023.
